SK Energy has been Korea's first and the world's third company to independently develop the separator, a key component for lithium-ion batteries by applying its chemical technology of the last 40 years and nanotechnology. Since 1998, we have studied the microporous membrane, obtaining five patents in the field. In August 2004, we started manufacturing products at No. 1 Line. Since October 2004, our products have been tested at our customer companies. In October 2005, we plan to begin commercial production at No. 2 Line.
